    Coaxial cable RG8XW is used in the transmission of communications signals. Frequently, audio, video, or network signals. Many people call them coax. So, what does coax, or coaxial, mean?

One advantage of this design is that magnetic and electric fields are bound within the insulating material. This reduces leakage outside the shield.

You may hear of this cable as being referred to as "Mini-8". This cable will always possess a stranded center, which distinguishes it from most other types of coax.
